Wanna buy a .tv name off someone. It couldn't be easier.
Here is your checklist of due diligence that you need to do in order to be certain of what you are getting.
First off check the date that the original owner bought the domain - pre or post March 18th 2010.
If the name was bought pre March 18th:
1. Was it a premium name with premium renewals or was it reg fee?
If it was reg fee, it will continue as reg fee as long as the name doesnt drop.
If the name does drop , it could
1a stay non premium
1b change status from non premium to premium, for example one of my names wreck.tv - non reg fee, now reg one off premium pricing
1c Make you sure you check the premium price at all the registrars. I just checked Enom.TV - $310. Name .com $290.
2. If it was premium renewal:
2a According to some members here, Enom has stated that those premium renewals will continue until the end of time
2b According to Name.Com, if the premium renewal names get dropped they get priced as a one off premium aslong as the name dropped after the 18th March.
If the name was bought after March 18th:
If the name was a one time premium payment, the name should stay at reg fee for as long as it does not drop.
If it does drop, see above 1a,1b,1c
