Companies are under pressure now to have revenue, and since PPC traffic payments are lower and trademark issues are higher, you have to sell some of your portfolio to make up those lost revenues. A quick move from traffic monetization to domain sales can cause some listing mistakes. :)

Just on the LLL.com's I'd say about 35k-40k lost in potential revenue. Not to mention several other domains I believe sold under market value which im sure will be listed soon.

Justin

<correction>

I just got off the phone with iReit and they are not public. They are a privately held company. In the past their was talk of an IPO - but that never came to fruition. My appologies, my mistake.

You have to give credit to iReit to holding up to these sales after catching their mistake. :tu:

This link works for me. If you see a list with degum.com and typesets.com, it's the right list.

Steve,

Im actually a bit troubled by this. I find it rather insane that they honored these prices. The only justification I can think of, is that was the price they listed them at intentionally. If it had been a listing mistake (as in, meant to have min bid at 500) but someone just put it in incorrectly, or there was a miscommunication between afternic and iReit, I would expect them not to honor them.

However, I'm guessing whoever was responsible for making the prices, just quite frankly dropped the ball and was clueless.

:| Oh well, I'm surprised because you had been hinting something was going to happen for a few days now.

Lucky Bangkok dude, he'll be laughing all the way to the bank :) ..nice

Anyone have any ideas when was the last time that LLL.coms went for that much in the market ? (ie - not drops or private buys)

I think an inexperienced staff member knocked off a zero when he listed them because he presumed it was a typing error.

oh dear poor guy/girl.

although that still undervalues them even at 10% ...

this isn't an extended april fool's is it? or candid camera?

in any case the last domains i would sell because of dropping CPC would be LLL.com .. they never did much CPC in my opinion anyway

:incredulous:

Kind of like you and your .BZ frenzy from a little while back. ;) I now know how you felt.

Thanks!

I had been browsing Sedo and (for the first time) Afternic for random LLL .orgs on Thursday. I came back on Friday, and saw a curiously long list of LLL .orgs at Afternic by the same seller (ireitinc). I couldn't believe it, and bought SAY and GUT immediately. There were a lot of other nice LLL .orgs on the list, which was taken down a few minutes after I picked up SAY and GUT.

They disappeared from my account after paying for them, and I thought it was too good to be true. I was on edge all day. I was a little disappointed, but I told myself I'd get over it. A few hours later, the names re-appeared in my account, though. :tu:

I'm more than blessed to have had such great timing. B-)

Steve, please send us your lottery ticket numbers.... :great:

I don't play the lottery -- although now would be a good time to start, right? ;)

Keep your eyes peeled -- this could happen to anybody!
