Yes I was surprised by America.com too - Israel is a very emotional subject to a lot of Israelis of course. I wonder if they had a verification system in place to ensure that it wasn't bought to be misused ? Can you ban certain people from bidding on your auctions ?

LATEST UPDATE - Apparently it has not sold after all - see http://domainnamewire.com/2008/06/02/israelcom-has-not-sold/ - and, to answer my own question, one of the stipulations for the sale was apparently that the buyer had to be pro-Israel

In all honesty, I would of thought that this domain name would of went for a little more than it did, but its more of a decent price than America.com lol
