The domain Google.com was booked on 1997-09-15 but Gmail.com was booked 2 years before google.com was booked, i.e on 13-aug-1995


Which means the Google guys had already planned to launch an email service even before launching their search engine...

I think its weird, Wot u think?

Hmmm - I actually remember Gmail.com in one of the other forums years ago - Wasn't owned by google just yet
