Few days back I started discovering all the messages send from my email id was going in spam.
I visited site http://www.robtex.com/rbls/ and discovered that my ip is banned on certain sites.
I contacted those site and this very fine again.
Than I discovered it was all done by some spammers.

Point is site mentioned above is a great resource to find if your ip is banned or not.

Most of the sites domain has "spam" in it, so I'm not to worried.

You should find our if your server is compromised - to see it run through scan. Its critical to have a proper anti-virus on your server. Also check if you host name is appreaing correctly on your server.
There are many factors that are responsibile but these are considered to be primary ones.

Also these bans can be removed by contacting each site and they have a request form on there site to remove a ban.

if the ban is for your web server it is possible your host has given you an ip that was banned before and the ban has not been lifted. If this is the case you should be able to get it listed otherwise demand a different ip.

Also found it slightly amusing when I noticed 1 of the ones it checks is called assholes.madscience.nl

Right, the names did surprise me also.

I'm not really sure that changing the ip works, if thats so I think its a bliss for spammers.

Banning can be because of many reasons, spamming, virus etc.

And it never impacts your surfing, biggest impact of banning is all the mail send from banned ip address always to to spam or are considered spam.
