Is the bigger the better? I think Google still returns more relevant results than Yahoo. Google is still my favorite.

Ever since I got hooked on google, it's been my #1 search engine, forgetting about the rest. However, after reading the article a couple of days ago, I went over to yahoo and did some testing. I actually found that some of my websites listed in the yahoo index can't be found when searching with google.

The funny part is, the sites I'm talking about aren't online yet (just a splash page with no meta tags or whatever) :D Time will show who wins the search engine battle. At the moment I think google is still ahead, but not by far. Also makes you wonder when MSN search will step up to the plate.

I bet that those extra pages that yahoo are indexing are spam websites. What is more important when it comes to search engine listings? Quality or quantity?

When you search for something would you prefer to get results for 100 spam sites with no real information on them, or 1 website with real content about whatever you searched for? I know my answer.

I get just as much spam searching with google, as I do when I use yahoo. So I doubt that is 100% correct.

I really find http://search.msn.com - All my new sites appear in MSN before they do in yahoo/google. Simply amazing !

Yes, MSN search is absolutely great, it indexes all of my pages before the rest, Google doesn't do much quickly...

yahoo is good as i always find related search not just spam and black linked domains..

always search with related keywords..

i prefer yahoo

It is nice that they have more stuff indexed, but I still prefere Google (don't really know why)

wouldnt it just save a whole load of space if all websites were put together so that all search engines coudl use it then just have their own algorythm and people could determine from that....if that makes any sense? it does in my head, basically why have the same websites stores on all search engines servers when it could just be on 1(or loats of) central server(s) they all used.

I would say Yahoo! is adding more SPAM to increase its listing amount....

I would say for the past year (maybe since they went public) that the google results have gotten worse and worse. I find myself doing deep page checking to find a result for what I want. If I head to yahoo or even MSN I get a more relevant result faster.

Sorry but the google greatness is over. Now I just hope everyone else figures it out.

YES Yahoo is better than google in all aspects even search system has improved and the links that u cannot find on google you can find it on yahoo pretty easy. Google has become stubborn and started banning certains domain names and never care to clear them even when they are expired. So , google is lazier than yahoo.
