Is there anything I can do?

About 8 months ago I was working in partnership with a man who's name I won't disclose just yet but basically, he found clients, I designed a website then I got paid. About 7 months ago I did a job and was waiting to be paid for a few weeks due to my contact moving house; having personal troubles... 6 months ago I then send him another email asking politely for my money whilst also informing him I was no longer doing freelance work for anyone. He replied saddened by the news but not angry and still no sign of the money. Over the past 6 months I have sent numerous very polite and understanding emails asking for my money to be sent me including my paypal address and the amount required. Occasionally I get a response saying "I'll get it too you within the week" but I don't see any money. I have tried ringing his mobile many times but it just rings out and his work phone number doesn't even ring. I last got an email saying he would pay "this week" about 3 weeks ago.

The amount is only small, just $60, I am a student with no real income I need to scrape up everything I can get. It's not just the money, me and this guy had a good business relationship for a number of months with lots of trust and reliance on each other now he does this. What annoys me more is how he's stringing me along with false promises.

Is there anything I can do to get my money? I don't want to kick up a fuss or anything, if there's any tricks or perhaps legal threats I could imply please PM me them although I don't wish to go into any legalities just the threat might get me my money.

The only other thing I was honestly thinking about was going a bit more public and try to ruin his reputation...

Sixty bucks may not seem like a lot, but what if this scofflaw comes on this forum and takes another NP'er for a thousand bucks? Maybe you?

I would say, give the guy a warning and a deadline and then follow through.

This protects all of us.
