It's been almost 4 months since bido.com stopped operation. I never make profit as good as at bido from that time on.
Bido was really a good place to sell ordinary domains at good prices.
Pros, do you know any where can be the alternative for bido.com?

Here are a few ideas:

- Submit your domains to the upcoming T.R.A.F.F.I.C. or Domainfest auctions.

- Submit your domains to Rick LaTona's auctions.

- Pay for a listing at Godaddy.com. When people search for domains that are related to yours, your domain will show as Available For Sale.

- Try the old-fashioned method of finding end users to sell to.

Good luck!

Someone needs to clone that site or buy it. Conceptually I think it was a winner and just needed more tuning and time.

I used to really, really like dnko.com, now auctions.epik.com, but I have not tried them since the site was sold to a new owner.

I never like Bido. Many people did, yet now it is shut down. Maybe someone will buy and and make it work again. The short, quick auction model shouldn't be that hard for someone to duplicate and do better than any of the other sites. They just need to understand buyers and sellers better.

I think what dually said was the most important:
Bido was really a good place to sell ordinary domains at good prices.

I second BagainDomains as a quality alternative! I have sold a handful of domains there for approximately the same return I would have at Bido. Plus, the customer service is phenomenal (as it was at Bido, too).

If youre a buyer auctionpus.com is prolly the best site to buy good cheap domains. I know people personally who made quick cash by flipping domains won at auctionpus, one person for a profit of almost x,xxx after quickly flipping it on another site.Didn't even bother to go end user hunting for that one hehehe

A profit of almost x,xxx is a profit of no more than 999.99. Still that is not too bad.

What site did they sell that domain on? That's what I want to know, not where it was purchased, but where it was sold...! :)

Well he almost got the domain for free. If you paid 5k and sold it for 5.9k on another reseller site then yea that's not impressive but if you paid 45 and sold it for 870 on another reseller site then that's a great return.

I don't want to out the domain or the site it sold on so I'm not giving exact numbers, I'm just saying the roi was high. It was sold on one of the older sites so youre probably familiar with it anyway.

That's what I want to know, not where it was purchased, but where it was sold

I disagree with this. If you overpay for the domain, selling it on a reseller site for more is mission impossible especially in this market. Most domainers don't make money because they don't know how to buy good domains, not because the auction sites are not doing enough for them

You'd think a domain auction site would be the easiest thing to get going.

But it's tough to get traction with only resellers buying.

And aside from the usual marketplaces (sedo & godaddy performing best) we've had no luck even selling at reseller prices on the other platforms out there, the buyers just aren't there.

until the rest of the world catches on to the fact domains are virtual real estate ....there will always only be limited sales for all
