Is there a life for Misspelled Domain Names?

I think certain misspelled keywords could be brandable.

But it will need a little catchy tag lines to go with it.

Comments appreciated for these two sites:

senxuality.com - I used "eXtra eXtreme eXcitement" as the tag line

doublechek.com - I used "c what you are missing?" as the tag line

Could there be end-user buyers?

Usually typos are used to tap traffic and redirect to a main site.
End users will normally not purchase typos unless they have traffic potential or for defensive registration purposes.

Also building a business on a misspell does not present a professional image...
Put simply the value of a typo depends on traffic, if any. Without traffic it's probably worth nothing.

senxuality.com => imo not good
doublechek.com => you *might* get typo type-in but probably not a lot, you can still taste the domain and drop it within 5 days if it does not perform.

What would be a good performance of a domain name in a week's time?

I like the Doublechek name. Some companies are spelled dumb, but I think this one has some potential.

I also like the Doublechek domain. It can have potential if you develop it right.

Actually, if done right, it can be an advantage in making an otherwise generic company or product name brandable. Companies do it all the time. For example: Paychex (paychecks), CitiGroup (citygroup), DirecTV (directTV), Publix (public's), accu-chek, Entergy (energy), Xcel (excel) etc. It all depends on the REASON you registered the domain (typo or brandable of generic)

Ya OK... :D
But a lof of people type: http://flicker.com, diverting a lot of traffic to that site... it's like working for someone else. Waste of traffic.
Same problem with traffic leak when you build on an extension other than .com (.net/.org/.biz for example), you have to expect some spillover to .com.

The OVT figures are revealing:
OVT Jan 2007
37831 flickr.com
4301 flicker.com

It's possible to do well with a mediocre domain, delicio.us.whatever being the perfect example but it requires a lot of branding effort. A good domain should be the ideal visiting card that will boost your business, not the other way round :imho: So I don't really like typos or hacks :)
