Is the Sedo "no minimum" 10% charge being extended?

Personally I don't like the minimum $50 or $60 sales charges set by Afternic, Sedo and the like, as it puts me off listing a domain below $500-$600, as 10% seems enough to pay out, to me - I've no idea why anyone sells domains via these services for prices like $200, with these charges in place. But I notice Sedo has be offering no minimum charge for domains hosted by them.

But when this offer first appeared, I pretty sure it said in the small print that the offer might end sometime in december, which could give a seller a nasty surprise. I can't find that information anymore, so does anyone know if the offer has been extended, perhaps indefinately?

This offer is not aivalable in europe :(

I had a 60€ offer for instance (for a parking domain),
with the 50€ sedo fee there was only 10€ for me... (i refused it)

Don't blame you.

Typical, .eu getting a raw deal as usual. I wonder if they allow it if you take payment in $, inspite of being registered in europe.

Maybe you should try changing your domain to $ to see if it works, see if the buyer comes back - probably not though, as you can't contact him/her to explain the problem.

I found the buyer and contact him (and asking 120$ without sedo transfer is done now).
In fact the buyer sent me a message explaining me he's got another domain.
I've just contacted the owner of this domain, it was the right person.

But otherwise i had now way to know who it was :(

It's the cost of doing business safely. If you don't have a name worth listing there, perhaps another venue will be better suited for your low value names (maybe afternic). Sedo not only allows you to park your names to earn a revenue, but they also act as an escrow service when a sale is made. This keeps you from getting ripped off by a deatbeat buyer. I like the service, and I don't mind paying the 10% ($50 minimum) - I do, however, mind the 10% ($100 minimum) for certain cctld sales. That's a little steep IMHO...
