Is selling a name an end in itself?

If you sell a domain name to an end user, is that the endof the matter, or is it the start of a relationship? I remember selling one name, and staying in contact with the buyer to help him with some other things. However, if one stays on the domain name topic - should one create an opt-in mailing list, and maybe help buyers to find names to help them expand parts of their businesses. With all these new TLDs arriving, we will have to expand the market to keep some of them viable. Making repeat sales to an existing customer is one way to do this.

Hi

the quality of your names opens the door to repeat buyers

you can sell to another domainer and build the same relationships

so it's not all about end-users,

it's about the transactions and professionalism exhibited with each sale.

imo...
