Is .pro live or not?

I can't seem to find any specific news if the .pro tld is live yet?

This works: www.nic.pro (well kind of)

Last info I can find is that they are in a sunrise period...

Ouch, that site doesn't quite seem ready for prime-time, IMHO.
Perhaps there has been another delay with the ".PRO", haven't heard much about it lately.
May want to check here to see if there's any news (I'll check elsewhere and post if I find something, as well):

.pro is going to be one of the most restrictive domain namespaces, not to mention the most expensive!

Apparently www.nic.pro is a (broken) mirror of www.registrypro.pro

I think it is very elitist of them to restrict it to three professions.
Hopefully their launch will flop and then they will open it from 3rd level to 2nd level to all.

At $125 per year, it's even crazier than .tm or .kids.us

RegistryPro started to take Defensive Registrations for Intellectual Property owners on April 23, 2003

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. The domainspace requires certification and also acts like a certification. It will be interesting to see how these third-level .pro names work out.
