Hey guys, I have a domain name with the keyword inside it. The keyword is searched 27,000 "exact" searches a month. And its a dot com!!

Is it worth much? 27,000 is a lot and competiton is LOW!!

Thanks

Without knowing the domain, it is almost impossible to appraise it.

Good luck

I understand, I'm just not wanting to spread it out on the net. As its low competiton, so it wont be hard to rank for it and there are a lot of searches per month.

We need to know the domain. Just put it in the thread using a simple code and then we can get it appraised for you.

(The first letter in each word represents a letter in the domain)

Like this: Mike York Does Only Married Americans In Nevada. C O M

low competition means there is only a small (or zero) number of people paying Google for the keyword to place their ads in relevant search results... a bad thing for your domain

low competition does not mean that you can rank your site high easily - these two things are not connected directly. especially if the keyword is popular..

having a keyword "inside" a name basically means you'll get no any advantage in placement - only exact match names enjoy this privilege..

Low Adwords competition is usually a fairly good indicator of low SERP competition. Sure, they're not connected directly, but there is a very strong correlation between the two.

Actually, having a keyword within a domain name is an advantage in terms of ranking. This is common knowledge. JimsDomainNames.com is going to be easier to rank for the term "domain names" than JimSmith.com. Sure, EMD is the biggest bonus, but having keywords or at least partial keywords in the URL is a big help.

That's not true and does not make sense.
Keyword1keyword2.com can not rank better than keyword2.com in terms of keyword2.
In other words you are saying namegoogle.com can rank better than google.com
From what I understood, your domain
does not have any value.

Yes it can. Why? Because domain names make up only a small part of SEO. Keyword1keyword2.com can rank much better than keyword2.com for keyword2 because rankings are based on 200+ factors unrelated to your domain name. Just to give you an example, search "donuts." If you're like me the first result is krispykreme.com. Based on your logic, that is impossible and the only domain which can rank first is donuts.com.

Based on Google's recent algorithm changes, domains are becoming even less valuable in terms of ranking. Keywords within domain names help for that particular keyword, just like keywords within a URL.

Oh and to answer your question, namegoogle.com can rank better than google.com for the term "google." I don't forsee namegoogle.com ever ranking for anything, but there's nothing about Google's algorithm which stops it from overtaking google.com for the term "google" in the Google search engine.

sometimes.. but not necessarily

take "donuts" as an example again

- 110,000 global / 27,000 US exacts (keyword is quite popular)
- 65,000,000 results in Google (high SERP competition)
- Low adwords competition / Low CPC

..and it surely would be hard enough to rank any new "donuts" site high

imho

low competition means easier to rank

high competition means harder to rank

no.

try to rank high for "blog", "movies" or "porn".. all are Low competition keywords

adwords competition means how "commercial" the word is - how many parties compete for ads placement in search results.
non-commercial but popular words can be extremely hard to rank high even thou they are "low competition".

and less popular "commercial" High competition words with high CPC can be easy to rank just because there is less number of sites covering the topic..

adwords competition is between advertisers not content providers
