I had a domain for sale in my signature for $100. I get a PM saying sold but can I wait until Monday and I respond yes. I sent multiple PM's during the week and then today he says he won't be buying anything until April 30th and says sorry. I say that is fine but I will have to leave a negative mark due to him backing out of our agreement but he says I am not allowed since it was done through PMs.

I want to leave a negative since we agreed and had a contract and he backed out.

Is this an acceptable reason for a negative mark? Are they allowed to retaliate? I have the PM's incase a MOD would like to look at them.

Thanks - Jason

I was in a similar situation regarding retaliation. I explained the situation and the feedback was removed from my account.

I believe, in my opinion, yes you should be leaving a negative rating, because he's clearly done something wrong and other sellers / buyers should be wary of him.

If he does retaliate, post in the reports forum and it'll be sorted out.

You can leave a negative feedback any time a bad business situation occurs on NamePros, even if it was in PM's. You just need to be able to back it up. Do you have a copy of the PM's? If so, you're in the right.

Can he retaliate? Only if he has a valid reason to. He can't leave you a negative feedback just because you left him one. He would need to show that you performed a bad business deal.

Yes,
I would HOPE you would leave a negative.
There are too many members on this forum,
and it's free to list anything at all.
The temptation for anyONE of us to buy from anyone else
occurs each minute.
"I" want to know about who I am dealing with.
Each and every dollar I have, means alot to me!
I got a pm from someone who almost sold me on a
Wicked Great deal for setting up a website for me.
I was firmly convinced to PayPal him.
I went to his feedback, and saw he hadn't followed thru on turning over a site,
after being paid, from another member.
That Neg. feedback could have saved me some $$$,
that I value WAY too much.
I don't think it's a question of should you...
I think it is imperative that you DO leave neg. feedback.
It is kindof "your obligation" to this forum.
Hope that makes sense.

Good Luck,
Red Rock!
