Add comments to negative feedback

I'd like to see the option to add a comment to negative feedback like you see on Ebay. Recently, I had a buyer tell me he was going to buy a domain from me and then after I removed all my for sale posts, he flaked out and never paid me. I was too worried to post negative feedback since I never know if I'm going to get negative feedback in return with a false argument that I can't counter (such as "she sold the domain to someone else first!" which isn't true).

Is this something that could be done?

Our feedback iTrader system does have a comment area for positive, neutral, and negative feedback.. actually a title + long comment option on all 3. In addition, the itrader system has a reply feature where you can challenge / add notes about feedback left for you. E.G. > Click on the feedback text, then you can Post a reply to it on the next page. ;)

Isn't that basically what you're asking?

Ah, why yes it is. I've never seen it used before so I assumed it didn't exist. Does the reply show up on the rating summary page as well?

Just tested it, while the added comment does not show in the main list of feedback, anyone can click the feedback text link and read all the additional information / discussion. if it makes you feel better, you can always tell a potential buyer to click on a specific negative itrader link to read more about the dispute, or provide them with a direct link to it. Keep in mind that not everyone checks itrader lists, so you may not want to say anything unless they ask ;)

I see. It might be nice to have an indicator about whether there has been a reply posted or not but I understand if that's not something necessary to add. Thanks for the info. :D
