Is it just me or does it seem there are no premium domains appearing in the Godaddy auctions?

Does Godaddy keep the ultra premium domains out of the auctions.

Don't get me wrong, I do see reasonably OK domains in the GD auction sometimes, but could somebody tell me if they keep the very best domains for themselves to sell in another way?

Now that you asked, it does seem very strange that out of tens of millions of domains under them no expiring premium keywords in last few months. That should be statistically impossible given that there are quite a few on drops on NJ, Snapnames etc.

I take it back. They have currently under auction expired domain TVQ.com that has 79K bid with 5 days left.

There hasn't been a million dollar auction at GD since the bettrade.com fiasco.

The short letter domains are the rage now. Where are the good dictionary word domains? There were millions registered by GD in the last decade or so. Many must be expiring all the time. Where are these domains?

Last super one I remember was league.com which went for a lot of $$$.

Good names do come up on GD auctions but I think most of the good ones are getting snatched up pretty quickly by those that make offers on these names outside of the auction platform. Many investors don't wait for the expired auction to happen and contact the owner directly, have them renew the name and buy it directly from them.

Excellent point. I wonder how often that happens. But, could it be happening with enough frequency to explain the complete lack of high quality domains on GD auctions?

While most dictionaries will have 30000-50000 more or less popular words, real sought after premium words would be around 10,000, around 20,000 with plurals, gerund form etc. That is as rare, as LLL.coms

Still hard to explain why they almost never come up on GD. I have got 3 great keywords from Snapnames, but haven't even seen anything lately from GD.

Hello

That ought to be measurably unthinkable given that there are a significant number on drops on NJ, Snapnames and so forth. There are simply better approaches to offer premium spaces. On account of 5N.com they've been getting gobbled up for a very long time in exp barters and most if not all will be in the hands of speculators why should going let them drop.

maybe the first question to ask yourself is whether it is legal or not for them to do this, if they do do this. and if it is legal then it no longer matters if they do it or not.
