Guys please tell me if I should join domainsponsor or not, because I see that they hold your payments for 3 months, which is not good for any newbie. Is there any specific advantage of being there with domainsponsor, risking that 3month hold??
Or
Should I park my new domains with bodis?

can anybody tell me anything about domainnamesales? Do they require me to have minimum 10 domains like I should have with voodoo??

Hi alancore

the question should be....are my domains "good enough" to be accepted by DomainSponsor?

also, when you want to know about services like domainnamesales, you should read their website first. then, maybe post questions about what you didn't understand after that.
again, the question should be...are my domains good enough to be accepted by domainnamesales?

if you want to get accepted to such entities, think about the quality you will bring to the table.

still, when submitting names for acceptance, select the best of your list and don't include any trademarked domains.

Good Luck!

imo...

I have been giving DomainSponsor a try over the last few months. Although I have what I feel are some good names, I am not sure that I am a good fit for them.

The reason is that my best names are .tv domains, domains that are not really conducive to type in traffic. When I directed the domains to their nameservers, google dropped the domain from their results. So unless I find a way to pump traffic into the parked domains, there's just not a whole lot there.

Having said that, I will add that what traffic does filter through to the domains seems to convert at a reasonable rate. I just need to find a way to increase that relevant traffic by a factor of 100 to make it interesting.

If you have good .com domains, I think that domainsponsor is a legit consideration.

then maybe should have asked...

if holding payments was a drawback to joining domainsponsor?

then you would get answer to that question.

also, why would holding payments be "bad" for a newbie?

see that they hold your payments for 3 months, which is not good for any newbie

maybe holding your payments a few months, will allow you to "bank" some earnings before you spend it all.

cuz they (DS) ain't going no where.

BTW: been with them going on 10 years now and have received a check every month, since.

:)

IMO ; if you think that applying @ DS is too much of an effort to put into this business or the likely-hood of getting caught cheating @ DS with fraudulent clicks or traffic is too high .... i guess i wouldn't .

but if you are serious about your business and your domains produce legit traffic with legit clicks , i would apply !

DomainSponsor is most recommendable IMO.

I started out at Domainsponsor and over the years I moved to other parking providers because of their customization options.

However, lately, I've been moving more and more back to DS and their default landing page.

It used to be worth the time custom tailoring the landing pages/images keywords at some of the parking sites but ever since Google started overiding them and tailoring results based on the individual user, I feel it's more confusing to the visitor landing on a page with a specific picture but seeing different results, which are based on their past web visits/searches.

Don't worry about the hold, as the others have mentioned, they've been around for a long time, - I personally haven't had any payment issues and don't expect them to disappear overnight.

Google AdSense ends up holding for about two months--assuming you can reach $100 in a month. It's a common tactic in the industry. DomainSponsor is well-established, so I don't think you should have any problems; just plan ahead, and know that it's going to be three months before you see any money.

Personally, I haven't had much luck with parking-type systems, though. I get better results when I throw some open source application on my domains and tweak it a bit. Something interactive. That still doesn't get around the very common waiting period, though.

Hi Alan,

I will recommend not to hop here and there..and focus on Bodis for starting months
then try Voodoo, ParkingCrew and then DS as you grow, as your approval will also get easy
and forget about DNS if you dont have quality names as they are the toughest in approval.

Thanks.

Any representative of domainsponsor here?

If by "new domains" you mean newly registered domains, then they probably won't be the kind of domains that any parking company can monetize because they probably don't have any traffic.

DS is a good company. I think Voodoo is the equivalent and only requires 10 domains to be accepted. You might try there first.

Recently I got back to DS because of the opinions I read on this thread

The first thing I did when I re-joined was to contact my DS account manager about general inquiries concerning my account (methods of payment , etc.)

It's been more than 2 weeks now in which I have sent two emails to him/her and I got no response so far.
I also tried to contact (about roughly 2 days ago) via the site's contact page , still no response

I have no reason not to trust the opinions here, especially seeing that they come from trusted NP members, but how trustful can a company that doesn't respond to inquiries be?

To be honest, I'm very concerned and somewhat disturbed from their lack of concern for people that cooperate with them.

Since the domains I have parked there are already earning some income, I start to wonder if I should carry on my parking with them or not.

I'd welcome your opinions on this

I'm with DS for more than 2 years and all is great. They still pay $20 = $30 perclick occasionally.

They still the best if your traffic does provide value.

If you have more than 100 domains, you should park 1/2 of it with them.

DS still the big player in this industry, and they remain so for a very long time.

This is just my 2$ .... not CENT:laugh:
