Is Domain Penalized

I was looking at this domain:

overcomefear.com

It cost quite a bit and I have tried to look at everything I can to make sure that there are no issues with it from the past.

How can I be sure there are no issues?

Is it penalized by Google etc..?

I think you need to overcome your fear and just use it. If there are issues you will find out once its getting traffic or checking SEO results.

This domain costs over $2,000. It's not fear, I just want to make sure there are no issues before I buy it. It's not like buying a $12.00 domain.

Thank you. Yes I used that site and it says it's not penalized but I was told this tool is far from accurate.

You could use the WayBack Machine to see if it has been in use in the past. It at least will tell you if it was used in past for a website, and the content on that.

As far as I can tell there has only been parked pages for this domain. I do not see evidence of any site being built on it in the past.

I doubt that a site never used for website was used for email, but it is possible. If you want to make sure it is not on Spamhaus block list can check here:

Of course even a site that was, the new owner could apply be unblocked.

ps The other thing to check is a Google search, but I presume you did that and it came up empty.

I did a Google search for the domain WITHOUT QUOTES and the parked domain seems to be indexed. If I do it with quotes "overcomefear.com" I do not see it listed.

Google realizes that domain names expire, drop, sell and become owned by new people. They do not want to penalize you for what some other person might have done with the domain name. And they are watching whois records to see what's going on.

Then, if you're going to develop it, add it to your Google Webmaster Console and have them spider your new site. Check out inbound links, disavow anything that looks like junk.

You'll have the domain name cleaned up in months.

As for email, follow @MetBob's advice and check https://www.spamhaus.org/lookup/

I have rechecked it...
It is NOT penalized to show Google Ads.
+ it is indexed.
So I don't see any issues.
