question Is .DE.COM dead?

Is there anyone who still investing in this ccTLD or hold few?

Were you be able to sell any .de.com domain name recently?

Where would you sell them?

May be in Germany, it can be popular but I can't see many companies which own their .de relevant .de.com domain name.

AU.COM comes to my mind which is very popular in Australia.

.de is rather popular in Germany. I don't see why anyone would opt for the longer .de.com

In short this pseudo TLD is mostly aimed at foreign end users wanting to cater to the German market, or ignorant domain 'investors'.
That's why the .de.com homepage is in English only. Germans are not the target, they know better.

Many ccTLDs are still operating at the third level (.com.cctld) so the centralnic TLDs are somewhat deceptive and banking on confusion. Where does it say that .de.com is a private subdomain, and not an officially sanctioned TLD ?

The news was announced discretely through their reseller channels. Didn't find this on the Centralnic website.
