I mean, in terms of number of sales, and volume (not in terms of commission).

Switching is a big deal, so I first ask.

I don't see "make an offer" here on dan dot com landing pages so how is dan better than afternic or sedo?

Yes Big Difference
Sedo is well established while DAN is getting better Day by Day. If you want more exposure than obviously my votes goes to Sedo. Not only in terms of good Sales but also the number of visitors interested in Selling or buying. Also DAN have no restrictions. Anyone can make a FALSE BIDDING without having an account on DAN and they count this is an Offer. So needs to work more on that. You might not agreed but it's fact. It's like Simplicity Vs Complexity. Views are my own.

There is make offer / buy-now price / buy-now price & make offer. Depends on how the seller set the domain price (buy-now price and starting offer)

DAN: noticeably better designed forsale landing pages, no parking income, listing are not distributed to external registrars, occasional payment issues reported by buyers (as their payment processor Adyen is sometimes too restrictive).

Sedo: not so well designed forsale landing pages, potential parking income, distribution to external registrars (SedoMLS: NetSol, Registercom, Tucows, a number of European registrars, but no godaddy). No serious payment issues reported by buyers.

Shortly - to each his own...

these are not scammers but previous owners.
across all markets, there is like 100s of thousands of domains which previous owners never bothered to remove when they expired etc. some markets try to clean them up automaticaly, and some do it only by request like Dan.

so if you see your domain on Dan, email them to remove it. no screenshots, no namecalling, just simple email... i do this once every few days. cheers
I see those domainers as scammers because the first thing (which is the right thing) to do when you make a sale, is to clean it off marketplaces and wherever you've mentioned them for sale online. It will save us a great deal of time. I believe some domainers do this deliberately hoping to get a Bargain sale maybe

How do they get a Bargain sale?
Deal can only be completed by the domain owner. Dan does not pay seller if they do not deliver the domain.

Please I want to ask....

Did dan.com promote or market domain name after a seller list the domain name on their site or is Dan just a lander to just sell????

A seller will have to market his/her domain name after adding it to Dan....for a better exposure...

But domain name on sedo is more expose than Dan.....

Did you agree?????

Has anyone sell a domain on Dan without advertising the domain name somewhere????

Just adding the name on dan and just wait for the buyer to come and buy such name....

I didn't read all the posts, I didn't read anyone really... Because I know the answer. Of course Sedo is better because your listings will appear in several registrars and other sites like premium names. I sold several names just because of this. For European domains it works for .com is better Afternic but is worth listing the names in both platforms.

I never tried Dan, I may do in future. The landing pages are good and they get less % per sale but the point is that you dont get more exposition for your name. You send traffic to them but they don't send buyers to you. Sedo sometimes do this.

I think it can be good to use the Dan landings and list the name at Sedo (and Afternic) to use ther distribution networks (if your names have a buy it price).

PS: I may be wrong so in case let me know, I am always looking to learn more and improve.
