I recently joined seoclerks.com to help generate traffic to my URL/landing page which is connected to an auto-responder. You can take a look at it for yourself here: www.wealthandhealthjunky.com.

I posted my URL on google plus in a circle of 600 members, and received 12 notifications from my auto-responder in 2 days. No sales, but that's ok. I spent money on multiple users at SEO clerks guaranteeing anywhere from 1,000 to 10,000 hits, and I've received nothing from my auto-responder. Do any of you all have any experience with this site? Are they a scam? Is there somewhere else you can recommend where I can get better service, and provide the clicks I'm paying for? I look forward to hearing as much feedback as possible. Thank you.

Let me be blunt. Buying traffic is NOT going to work for your landing page. For that type of site you want something else that will make them sing up. SEOCLerks is a fiverr clone just for SEO. Depending on the gigs most are Black Hat. In your case you could waste all the money you want but unless you aleady have a list you can send to that page OR somehow ank it high (which Googel HATES those sites) you are in a tough situtation. If anyone here says they can help you get toms of sign ups take it with a gain of salt.

Well I definitely wasted some money so far. Maybe I'm confused though. Are hits different from clicks? SEO clerks offer a lot of hits(about 5,000 on average) for, quite frankly, pretty low prices($5 on average). Safe swaps offer a lower amount of clicks(about 300 on average) for much higher prices($40 on average). Is there a difference in the 2 terms? And what does black hat mean?

Google Adwords, Bing. You get what you pay for. These kinds of things have always been junk. Back in the day, many years ago in my rookie year, I tried some of these things out. It's basically all worthless traffic. I don't know anybody that's actually even gotten a sale from it. Stop wasting your money.

I just don't get it. What is the service that these people provide?

Checking the site, it looks mostly like a marketplace of different garbage traffic stuff. 100,000 YouTube Views, Facebook this and that, linkwheels, "visitors" etc, some of the same stuff you see in this forum sometimes. They have a FB page, Twitter, forum, etc, I would ask there.

Where are some good places to advertise my page? Any suggestions?

Your "page" is going to need TONS of targetd traffic. One thing you may look at is what is called Solo Ads. These are lines of advertisements that you sometimes see on other peoples email list that you may be on. It will be a bit more targeted but still no true guarantee of any sort of click through rate.

When you have a squeeze page like you have it has to already be successful with traffic. generally it can come from another high traffic site that will lead to that particular page. A stand alone page like yours that really has no purpose other then to "sign up" is lost in space.

What is it that you are trying to do and there may be other ways to go about it.

That's great information. I did a bit of research on solo ads, solo ad developers and senders. I think I'm going to take that route. I'm basically promoting SEO software, and I think I'm going to give solo ads a shot.

Also, I've found out those "visitor" providers use a URL shortener. What is that? What does that do exactly? And is it a form of black hat?
