I just got quoted $149 for a one-paged website in Los Angeles. Is this a fair price?

I found this company when I searched for web design near me and they seemed to provide the cheapest price. I have little understanding when it comes to this manner, so I am not sure if this is a good deal, or a red flag, or pretty standard.

A few questions:

• Is $149 a reasonable price for a single paged website?
• Where is the best place to host this website after completion?

Any advice from people who have been through this or are web designers is appreciated.

Well as per my little knowledge $149 for a single page AI-generated website in LA is very cheap not necessarily a red flag, but you should clarify what is included. At that price it’s usually a template with AI content and minimal customization. Make sure you own the domain, hosting account & full site files and confirm there are no hidden monthly fees.

For hosting if it is simple and static as something like Namecheap, Hostinger or even Cloudflare Pages then its fine. If its a WordPress then go with a reliable shared host and keep backups.
