iPodHelper.net, illegal?

I've had some other users tell me that it is illegal, but i wasn't sure and wanted to check in this forum.

There really isn't enough information to go by to give any help at all. I could write a 26 page post covering all the ifs. ands, or buts. Let's make this simple, do you plan on making money from the site or do you plan on using it as a pure 100% good faith usage fan site?

So it would be worth it to use as a site just not as fraud, is what your saying?

I am saying that if you plan to profit of of someone else's hard work, that could be considered bad faith if challenged. Now, if you used it as a fansite or a non-revenue informations site, you may be able to create rights.

With that said.... I did post what I found on the site and as I mentioned, someone is making money off of this.

DN's got a good point....

If you use the site to make money (and you make a lot of it off the domain) than your at high risk for trademark and a $100,000 dollar lawsuit (not to mention court costs,lawyer fees,etc). But if you use the site as good faith the company will more then likely look the other way or just simply send you a nice letter from there lawyer telling you to stop using that domain due to trademark.
