Are you kidding. Of course there is an infringement. You just have to wait till they mail you a C&D and make you give up your domain.

Companies don't register all major TMs across all ccTLDs -- even though this is big, you'll find many companies without their domains on .in/.co.in. Still, potential TM issues here.

I am not sure so I am asking, won't this be considered a case of Cybersquatting? Registering a Trademarked domain name in hopes of selling it to someone else later.

Let me get this straight...you registered it with full knowledge of it being a worldwide trademark, purely to profit from it, with no development in mind, by selling it and therefore making money from their mark? Then best of all, you display these facts openly on a forum.

They can only issue a C&D in the country they reside in and would only be successfull if the registrar is also in the same country.

If the registrar is offshore and cares less about any US laws then he'll have no problem in owning this domain but also means he can forget in selling it if Apple is indeed that strict which I don't know.

The only measurement I can think of would be to check whether already ipod.cctld have been successfully sold in the past without any probs.
