IoT is awesome, but the term "IoT" still sounds like industry jargon to me and not something consumers go around saying, nor is it a term that companies want to build a brand on.

This domain would be good for an industry news site (like www.iot.do seems to be) but it's not a domain I would renew if I owned it. I think you'd be lucky to get $100 for this one. (Hopefully I'm wrong.)

As @RJ mentioned, IoT is Awesome. Not only it is awesome; it is the way of the future and it is here to stay. With that said, saying that the market potential for IoT is huge would be an understatement. I now have two IoT names, but I can tell you that pretty much any of the IoT names out there have been registered!
I would like to also point out that during my quest to find IoT names, I noticed there was one tech company in China that owned more than 10 .com IoT names. How frustrating!
