Have to agree with @gilescoley here. Any name with Google in it is a clear trademark violation. Even if you don't get in legal trouble, you could have difficulty unloading it, as no one will want to develop a site on the Google trademark.
Only 10 recorded sales of Google names in the last three years, and at least a few of those were dropcatch auctions:
This is a classical case of cybersquatting - there is no need to resort to this level. There are plenty of domains to acquire that don't interfere with existing trademarks.
The poll here makes no sense. One can cast both a 'yes ' and a 'no' vote at the same time.
This clown also owns -
IOT-
facebook
instagram
disney
amazon
..and a few other tm companies.

A total newbie trademark infringer. Hope he gets sued to the max!
But, least us not forget - "praise the lord!" (good grief)
Both cases are like epic fail, These companies spend millions of dollars on advertising and have global trademark for their names. They will not let you use their name for monetary benefit, simple as that.
Again, has anyone had experience with this personally?
What can be done with this domain name that is 100% legal? If we were to put up a non-profit forum, discussion board or informational website on this domain, would that be good?
They are not set aside for the company mentioned, but you cannot register a domain with a company name in it. Words like Google, Apple, Toyota, Ford etc are trademarked and you cannot infringe on their TM's.
