Yes, you are right. NYSE and NASDAQ are trademarked.

Businesses can still use it for business directly associated with the stock exchanges. E.g. trading stocks, stocks advice...etc...

But it defintely can't be used if the domains were intended to create another stock exchange/business to compete against NYSE and NASDAQ.

So its defintely suitable for stock brokers.

An example of what I am saying would be like the following Toyota and Honda websites:
http://www.hondacity.com/
http://www.toyotacityny.com/en_US/
http://www.toyotacityhi.com/
http://www.scottclarktoyota.com/
Their business is directly associated with Honda and Toyota, and not competing against them.

I'm still relatively new about TM issues with regards domains. Any advice will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
