still reading into np. I would like to have the opinion of pros on auctions on sedo/gd/elsewhere_with_commission vs flipping on namepros.

Do you think there's a high probability of it getting sold at a higher price on sedo etc?

Some know how's on auctions would be helpful

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Dependent on the name, you have a much higher probability of getting the best price on auction by listing on Sedo/GoDaddy/Flippa etc. due to the simple fact that most people here are resellers. A lot of decent domains do not even receive a single bid here on auction.

Hope this helped!

Selling on NP you'll be getting reseller prices for the most part.

Elsewhere you'll more than likely get closer to end-user pricing, if done correctly.

Thanks for your inputs. So which is the domainers den for selling up their domains on good pricing ? Citing real scenarios and examples from past biddings will probably end up guiding the beginners.

Thanks again

Edit:

Need also reviews on selling on sedo/gd/namesilo/elsewhere etc. Which one proves more beneficial ?

NP is good for low-ball flippings. Want more money? Dreaming of $xxxx or more.. get the domain listed on SEDO, Afternic, Flippa etc.

Would'nt i get into a problem if i put the domains into auction on multiple platforms?

Lets have some light on this too

If you put them in Auctions, yes. There will be confusions.
People mostly go for Make offer on high end selling platforms like SEDO etc. If you are looking to put an auction on the domain, better stick to one platform.

The first thing that matters is what kind of names we are talking about? Until that is known everything else is pointless.

don't waste your time wondering where tolist your domains
list them everywhere
the main placs are:

sedo
afternic
godaddy
flippa

then wait for sales.. any other markets than these are more or less waste of time.

unless you wanna do outbound emails etc..

whether your domain sells or for how much depends on its quality, not where you list it

be careful if you setup bin prices everywhre.. to remove sold domains .. else u have problems

or put everthing makeoffer for now and let buyers come.

Yes, but listing on Sedo and/or Afternic will require time to get a sale...

So what is your preferred venue?
Afternic for the Premium Network program, increases the domain exposure among their partners and that increase the chance to get a Sale!

To people who sold on gd auctions,

Does investing even more on making it featured works?

Ps I have a 6N and more crypto domains

There is no secret: if you have good names, end users will find you. Even if you do not list your names on auction sites. If you have bad names, then they will just add to the millions of domains already listed on those sites.
So there is no 'secret' place where domainers can easily offload their domains for good money. Unless the domains are actually good and priced right.

just curious.. where do you stand on doing outbound? is that something you did or do a lot of in your domaining career?

there are some people out there who say domaining is pointless and waste of time... unless most of it evolves around doing outbound.

cheers

You can try running an auction on:
namejet
flippa
sedo
godaddy

The price for the domain really depends on the name quality and the exposure/marketing for the domain

You can also try buy it now or make offer listings on: undeveloped, afternic, or the other sites that I listed

I agree,
I have some names that i thought were good but they are crap and more than likely will not sell no matter what.
Quality over quantity (y)
Finding a niche that you have knowledge in will also help in aquiring names that will give better chances of selling.

I don't do outbound. I prefer to have the upper hand and handle incoming offers.
Anyway outbound does not work for crap names that nobody wants. Have you noticed the spam from wannabe domainers and front runners are always for crap names (almost no exception whatsoever).

@Niraj Kumar I listed my 6N with no zero on gd auctions and it has no views. Does making it featured work ?
