Hello All,
My name is Don, I've been a member about a week, and I've been lurking since then. I can see this is a special place with like-minded individuals. I think I'll stay for awhile My profile is up so there's no need to say any more here.

BTW, my alias tykoblue is the name of my company, don't ask, it doesn't mean anything, just random words my wife and I brainstormed one night to come up with something with an available domain name.

Greetings Don - Curious as to what prompted you to look for or join a domain forum at this time (recent media coverage on domaining?). Read your profile and saw where you had been on the fringe for some time but not in the business per se.

Carlton, regarding your questions:

I was introduced to the domain name business by a friend (who also referred me to this site). I don't think I've never heard anything in the media about "domaining" as you put it.

Also, I can't say that I was ever on the fringe of this either... when I did buy domain names in the past it was for my other business ideas, I never considered that domain names by themselves could be of any value! (OK so I always knew about these squatters who tried to make money by taking advantage of other people, but the thing I realize now is that domain names can be a good business without being unethical)
