Hi Everyone!

I wanted to take a minute to introduce a new domain name service for buyers and sellers.

www.DomainAgents.com

The DomainAgents Negotiation Platform allows owners and potential buyers to come together in a productive, balanced, safe and secure venue.

When a potential buyer is interested in making an offer on a domain name, the client purchases a DomainAgents credit and identifies the domain name they are interested in acquiring. We then attempt to contact the domain name owner to present the offer on the potential buyers behalf.

The domain name owner receives notice from DomainAgents via email or phone alerting them to the offer made on their domain name. When the domain owner visits DomainAgents, they can either engage in negotiations, accept or decline the offer. To compensate for their time, DomainAgents either pays the owner $10.00, gives them a free DomainAgents credit to make an offer on a domain name themselves, or donates $10.00 to a selected charity of the owner's choice.

For domainers, making offers via our platform may not be the most exciting news, but if you were to send the offers you receive to DomainAgents for validation, you can be compensated for your time.

We really want domain owners to know that if they receive an offer via our service it is legitimate. So make sure to check it out!

We're also launching a sales newsletter starting tomorrow. It is going to be eclectic and full of exclusive domains for sale at fixed prices:

http://domainagents.com/newsletter.php

There will be some interesting deals and names that are going to pop up as the names are all priced by the owners and are often times not domainers.

Make sure you sign up for the newsletter, tweet about us, facebook it and in general tell all your friends!

Happy to answer any questions and would love to hear any comments!

And of course if anyone wants a $10 off coupon I can totally hook you up. Just PM me and I'll send you one!

I was going to sign-up for the newsletter until I went to the newsletter and saw the prices being listed for the domains. You have got to be kidding. If you allow free-for-all pricing, I think this serious effort is doomed.

Just out of curiosity: Why would anyone pay $19.95 to inform a domain owner an offer price, which he could have simply done by email himself for free?

From your website FAQ, it appears you are just going to send some kind of "Dear sir/madam" formal letter template to the domain owner containing the offer price. And that's about it. If domain owner replies, you keep a profit of $9.95 and your work is done?

While I agree that some of the prices are not what I personally would consider current market value, it's actually much more involved than it may appear.

Plus it's more of a bonus anyway and the amazing deals are snapped up fast so I don't think we'll be doomed lol :O

I think it's easy to forget that to a large portion of people out there the internet is somewhat a mystery.

We work with a lot of individuals and companies who are not in the tech space and need hand holding through the entire process of buying a domain name on the secondary market. Other times we're a last resort for people who have tried and failed to contact an owner.

So while the reason people use us changes, the level of customer service and work that is required can't be over looked as it is not insignificant.

So while a domainer would rarely use our service, to a non-industry member we provide a valuable service, a service that our competitors charge a lot more for.

Would that include finding out the owner of the domain beyond what is listed from the WHOIS database? Like for example, the identity of the person who paid for the domain?

Do you send REFUNDS to the buyer if the domain owner ignores your email letter (presuming the buyer doesn't want to make offers to any other alternative domains)?

Our research into ownership goes beyond whois look ups. It's not a simple automated process.

We do not issue refunds if the buyer does not want to make an offer on a second domain, though they do have the ability to request that $10 be donated to a selected charity of their choice.
