International Payment Methods

hello, as a domain owner/webmaster located outside the USA, sometimes I've had issues joining affiliate programs, because of the payment methods they offer...

a few months ago, Paypal finally included Colombia as one of the countries where you can receive payments in your account (previously we could only use the service to pay for stuff, but we couldn't receive any money), anyway, we can get funds into our Paypal account but we still need an american bank account to withdraw that money from Paypal, and that's not easy to get...

I've been a member of an (adult) affiliate program for years, they used to send me checks, that were difficult to cash here (Citibank helped me twice, but then they started saying they couldn't cash those checks anymore), so I had to stop using those affiliate links until they started using Payoneer (awesome service, to be honest...), but there are only a few affiliate programs using Payoneer, most american and international programs are still sending checks as their only payment method for affiliates outside the USA, and I just won't join a program if I'm not sure I'll be able to actually receive the cash...

I'm also worried because I'm offering my domains trough Sedo, and the payment method there is also Paypal, so if I ever sell a domain I'm not sure about how am I gonna receive my money (I still haven't sold the first one :p)

I still need to try to ask Payoneer for one of those "virtual" bank accounts they offer for their cardholders, if it works, I'll have to pay a small extra commission but I'll receive the money in my card, as I'm doing with the adult program, but it would be nice to know if anyone here knows about other programs that pay using Payoneer, or if there's any parking company and/or domain marketplace that uses Payoneer, so people like me can receive money without all those extra steps...

(I don' worry about Adsense, I've had it for years and I've earned just a few dollars, so I think I'll never have enough to cash out :p)

I can understand your feelings as this is my major problem as well - I am losing hundreds on monthly basis as a result of not existing good enough methods of transacting money internationally.

It seems those who can't have the Paypal option for whatever reason are going to be stuck for ever!

Have you looked into the PayPal withdrawal feature to Debit / Credit cards yet? Not sure of all the countries they added to coverage area for it. But worth looking into.

Thanks! Didn't know about this feature! But the $5 fee is too much lol. Withdrawing to a bank acct is free

Perhaps you will want a US prepaid card with incoming ACH facilities
Example: http://www.achsolution.net/ (never tried them)

I have had same problem
Too many US based companies / People forget that Checks can be difficult to Cash / Accept.
Last $100 Check I got from US based Aff. cost 53$ to cash.

thanks scorpionagency, unfortunately that Paypal service is not available for colombian citizens, but I hope they'll include us in the near future

and thanks sdsinc, that service looks very interesting, I'll try the Payoneer one first (I'm already a Payoneer cardholder...) but if that one doesn't work, I'd probably spend the $50 of ACHSolution, I've lost more than that with checks I have not been able to cash

For affiliate programs, another option would be to let your commissions accumulate until you have enough for the bank wire transfer option.

paypal really have good features but still i find it hard to in cash your account since there are few affiliates outside USA.
