Hi all,
I'd like to run a contest for the heck of it on the side, and I'm even going to throw $100 NP in to make it interesting provided at least 20 people sign up for the contest.
Here's how it works:
The contest begins now and ends this Friday NIGHT at 11:59:59 PM Eastern Standard Time. Entry fee is 5 NP.
10 coins will be flipped with a script I wrote similar to http://www.atopia.net/scratch/flip.php. The coins will be flipped at random after midnight on Friday Night (once the contest is closed), one every minute (12:00, 12:01, 12:02, etc...., 12:20 am EST). You will be able to view the progress of the coin flipping online at a web address that will be posted in this forum and watch while your heart pounds!
Once the winner is decided upon, I will post the winner in the forum, as well as the source code used to generate the winning number (to prove the contest was legit). The results will be viewable online. There are 1024 possible combinations of coins ... so this will most likely be a "who is closest". Closest will be counted as the least number of errors.
Here's how to enter:
1) Send me a private message with your guesses (this is so other people can't base their guesses off of others).
2) Send me 5 NP dollars as entry fee.
3) Wait for a reply some time on Friday in this thread with the web address to view the random display of coins beginning at midnight Saturday morning EST.
This contest is void if at least 20 people don't get in on it... I'm shelling out 100 NP so I want it to be interesting. Provided at least 20 people sign up, the winner will receive 100% of the donated NP's PLUS an extra 100 NP from my own reserves. So if 20 people sign up, the winner will receive 200 NP. 40 people sign up, the winner will receive 300 NP. Depending on how this goes I may up the ante and do another contest next week.
What's the catch? No catch.... but if you visit the BB forum in my signature I'll be happy GOOD LUCK to everyone!!
