The list shows domain names receiving more than one application in Sunrise or Landrush.

After a quick checking, it shows 386 .ASIAs in the list has the .COM available.

E.g.

1a-marketing.asia
1a-place.asia
24h-computerservice.asia
2emarah.asia
888millions.asia
aanytime.asia (TYPO???)
accentureinnovationdelivered.asia
actuer.asia
acupunkturcenter.asia

I'm sorry to say it, but...

My first thoughts when I saw some of the names claimed to have been applied for by 2 or more parties was that DotAsia generated a script (similar to what Mtld did with .mobi) and wanted to keep all the good names for themselves (for auction), adding to this script domains that actually received 2 or more applications.

I can't get it out of my head that something isn't right here...

Agreed, Reece. Doesn't add up to me. I dont trust 'em. Im highly sceptical of the whole way they've gone about it - think about it:

- the whois data wasn't all updated before the landrush occurred - now suddenly it is - showing all generics and geos and most stuff of worth as 'reserved' by 'government' or 'community' lol
- all the wierd stuff that surely no real people regged. Heck, the dotcoms are still available after all these years the dotcoms still available - c'mon, sounds bogus to me.
- we were still allowed to put applications in for stuff that was registered and reserved ages ago...

bogus, dudes, bogus :td:

I pointed out all the crap names in the other thread but was thinking perhaps the registry was picking up a batch of names to fill up the auction list.

.aBSia :hehe:

Now that i think about it, how can we even be sure that the entire landrush wasn't rigged? I wouldn't be surprised if all 'half decent' ones were deliberately bot-applied for by the registry to force an auction. Lets face it, they stand to make a lot of cash from the auctions. How do we know they are not bot-bidding?

Maybe im just a crazy conspiracy theorist but i just dont trust them at all. :alien:

Does dotasia have reserved premium names? If so, is there a list?

I am there...50% of what I've regged they flagged as restricted...
49% will go into auction...1% I did not see on auction qualified list, of which were unlikely names for revenue generation. wtf

Yep, seems they reserved all the really good generics and ALL geos are reserved as 'government' or 'community' - like shoes.asia :td:

80% of mine were reserved and 20% going to auction. What a farce.

Yes, it is bizarre. I think the people who register those domains are either new to domain planet or did type in error.

Thx for the list.

A couple of clients of mine applied for a lot of names, ALL of them are in this list. Not surprising though, generics would be.

I for one am recommending they stay out of the bidding, except for a few that they really need.

I ordered a domain (personal) during the landrush which got taken by somebody else during landrush without any auction. Both the registrar and registrant are HK companies. Something isn't right here...

The question is...what if only just 2 reggers after the same name, both will not bid...will they give the name to the ones who regged 1st???

Forget it, I think they'll just snag it for themselves!!!
