Installing a database for phpbb

basically i moved a site from 1 host to another and im having problems installing the backup of the database i made, can anyone help? its about 2-3mb the file

ok sorry for presuming, the thing is i sold the site to someone else and hes having problems getting the forums up and running so im trying to give him a hand i dont have the username and password or anything like that, thats why i was looking for an explanation although ill see if hes willing to give it you to install it

Should be a simple matter of creating a database and running a query using the export you made of the original database.
