just acquired this one,
I think it's a good dictionary name IF .info's begin to fill up. I'm thinking of making a minisite but I'm not sure exactly what the content would be... search engine on some sort maybe?? Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks!

This is like ExcellentKeyword.WorthlessTld

I am sorry but .info do not at all stand anywhere.

For years, we just saying "when .info will rise then"...
The TLD has always been argued and debated but
definitely you can target only SE with them.

Even I have been optimisitic keeping couple of info

You can use it for any inquiry related service where you do not need to maintain like taking free services of any travel / hotel portal etc

You are wrong :) .info is not worthless, I sold many of them :)

This one is really good, I think that is worth minimum mid $xxx

Thanks for the honest feedback domain_name
I agree about the .info's not being as desired, but I think this one might have potential if I hold on to it for a little while, and try a mini site in the mean time.

I think it's got great potential. I bought and promoted a .info name before, but it never ranked on Google...do all .info's have this problem?

I personally like the name, because it matches, with the TLD as well.

You could put a price tag of low to mid $XXX for it, undeveloped.

I think you could set up several search engines, like make it into a search portal. Don't be too content with a minisite, because the name is sticky.

.info is OK - my only concern is inquire vs. enquire

Is "inquire" an actual word? As opposed to "enquire" [ask] , "inquiry" [court] , "enquiry" [query] , etc.

Yea it's a word, per dictionary.com >

in⋅quire [in-kwahyuhr] Show IPA Pronunciation
verb, -quired, -quir⋅ing.
–verb (used without object) 1. to seek information by questioning; ask: to inquire about a person.

Yes, I'm not a big fan of .info's but I have heard they are popular in Europe for some reason. Maybe they are not as fussy as most Americans are...? :)

Anyway, I think you will get the most value from this if you develop a site for it. Either a directory or a search engine. For search you could put a Zoom Search Engine on it or the one from Fluid Dynamics if you want something more like a regular crawler. There are quite a few directory scripts, but they will take more work to build up quality content.

Inquire.info would be tricky to sell but it would make a very good name for a business related blog or guide. Also, the "in" followed by "in" helps. Maybe $50-$100 reseller, mid to high $XXX for an end user.

It's because Europeans are more discrete, creative and open minded!:) .info works because it's geo-neutral, widely understood across European languages, and understated.

I prefer .com but good keywords ran out 77m minus a couple of hundred thousand registrations ago. Nothing worth getting excited about has been regged in .com for 10 years.

Actually, a couple comes to mind but I'd better not sidetrack.

Very nice name, definitely a keeper. I'm not a huge fan of .info but I do have a one or two brilliant keyword ones. :]
