Does anyone know which typo's occur more often then others. for e.g. if I get a typo for goodtypo.com which one of the following would be a better typo : goodtyop.com or hoodtypo.com ? and so on.. Is there any paper which describes which key combinations are better typo's then others ?

thanks in advance

it all depend on the visitors and hard to say which one is good but missing letters are the best so far , here is a thread about typos here in namepros , it may help you more reading it

I remember the thread Tv mentions -- it's excellent. Also if you want to check typo's empirically, you can try Vurr.com which has the AOL search data online. Overture has a larger set of search data but unfortunately corrects some misspellings and aggregates other data (e.g. cars to auto, etc.). On Vurr, check the ratio of the correct spelling versus your typo to get an idea on the relative volume.

Things may change from one domain to other. Try "Domain Tasting" with your Typo's or Expired Domains.

Good Luck.
