Does anyone have and decent links to .cc domain sales? I am looking for completed sales and sale prices, not .cc's up for sale.

eNic is also a Verisign company (same folks who own the ".TV" (Tuvalu) registry), IMHO. :gl:

Any wonder, then, that many are listed on GreatDomains.com (another Verisign company), and at arguably comical Asking prices, IYHO's? :|

Thanks for any input regarding "sold" ".CC's", as well (I don't know where they'd be listed, relevant links, etc. offhand, sorry).

Fair comment Jeff but I don't see the relevance of your reply to the thread starters original question IMHO.

FYI - Generally .TV is no longer regarded as the tld for Tuvalu - .TV means television first, then Tuvalu somewhere down the list. In the same way .US means United States first then somewhere down the list means 'Universal Studios' or 'Université de Sherbrooke'... The people who still hang on to .TV being the ccTLD for Tuvalu are ignorant IMHO. Although I accept I may have a bias opinion being based in the UK where any self respecting company (eg the BBC - British Broadcasting Corporation) who has an interest in televison owns (and may well promote themselves against) the .TV extension. - For more info see the DOT TV forum ;)

As far as .cc are concerned IAmAllanShore has a dedicated website to developed .cc's - it might be worth a visit, not that I know for sure but it may have links to what you are after fonzie_007 ( http://developed.cc/ )

I humbly addressed my shortcoming on this matter above, and (yes, perhaps in vien) hoped maybe some "actual sales" in the Verisign-owned ".CC" could be found amongst my provided GD's link, as well. I tried my bestest.

It does? Perhaps in the same way that most view the ".WS" now as "Website", correct?

Thanks for the link! Perhaps there may also be some relevant information on Duke's - www.DNJournal.com , as well? :gl:

^^ - Not at all, why have an extension that tells you a domain leads to a website ? - it was always a very silly adoption and assumes people outside of 'our' market are very naive / stupid IMHO. A better comparison would be that most view .com as commercial, .net as internet / network, .info as information and .org as organisation etc.

Verisigns has successfully / cleverly marketed .TV for Television to not only the end user but also the domainers, although IMO .TV has been mainly a success simply because this particular market (television, media, etc) has been screaming out for its own extension. From a domainers point of view it is something very new and different and is just starting to bare fruit IMO.

^^ - Yep, another great resource Jeff - to search DNJournal through Google try:

site:dnJournal.com .cc --> Type this into a google search and replace the .cc part with anything you want to search for at DNJournal.com

Cheers Mike :)

And THIS is why I never stop learning here on the site ... ^^ great insight (particularly the comments on the comparisons, and referencing my analogy), thanks Mike.
PS. I'll be sure to better peruse the new ".TV" sub-forum as well! :gl:
