Meagan was a friend of a friend/schoolmate of mine. This is TERRIBLE...

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) โ€” A 24-year-old cheerleading coach from Ohio died Monday from head injuries she sustained during the stage collapse at the Indiana State Fair, and it wasn't immediately clear if she had undergone the organ donation surgery family members had planned while she was in a coma.

Meagan Toothman was confirmed dead Monday afternoon, according to a statement from the Marion County Coroner's Office released by the Indiana State Police. No other information was provided, and calls by The Associated Press to the coroner's office and police were not immediately returned late Monday night.

You seem to have an unfair balance of tragedy in your life and relationships.

I saw the video of the event - I'm not sure quite how I would have felt being there to see it. It was quite terrifying and almost unreal.

It's just so sad for so many people.

I know. Things like this really do make one ponder how fragile life is. It's been almost a year since the car accident I was in. Strange how ppl don't appreciate life til something like this happens.

Believe it or not I thought about that accident fairly recently when I was having a tire issue on Interstate 75.

I needed to look under my car to see what the problem was. Trust me when I say that I pulled over more than I think I needed to and did NOT spend much time under there looking.

I waited for AAA well off the road and facing traffic so I could see what was coming towards me. Thankfully it was unnecessary but I still took, and will take, extra precaution when on the side of the road.

Sharing the story,as hard as it may be, will eventually lead someone to use extra precautionary measures that may save a life.

It's also a way of remembering people and most people deserve to be remembered.
