ImaginaryGirlfriends.com
Site Info
Site was launched on Valentines Day 2004. The basic premise of the site is offering imaginary relationships to men and women. Check the FAQ/Info for more information on the standard service. The regular Imaginary Girlfriend service has been provided to many men from around the world who have given it rave reviews.
www.imaginarygirlfriends.com gets around 1000 unique visitors on a typical day, and has seen as many as 53,000 in a day when various media stories have been released.
Site ranks #1 in Google for 'Imaginary Girlfriend', 'fake girlfriends', and other topically specific terms. Ranks #3 for 'girlfriends', #2 for 'imaginary'. Has Pagerank 5 (increasing) with lots of links (5,299 link pop according to Marketleap).
A couple of months ago we invested in a streaming media solution that lets users chat with girls over live streaming video.

This involves a free group chat and private chats that are charged a per minute rate. Initial outlay to get this started was $3500 plus server setup fees. Continuing cost is $100/mo for the server fee, plus you pay the performers a commission for their time that you choose to. You can set the prices and hire performers remotely or run your own local web cam studio.
We've had over 600 girls that have sent pictures applied to be Imaginary Girlfriends. There is a validation process that involves writing sample love letters and phone verification, but its been somewhat overwhelming for me to even try to tackle alone so most are just sitting in the queue awaiting response. I did hire a programmer to create a more automated application process where profiles go into a database, with an admin panel for activating those that have completed the verification process. This is finished but has not yet been implemented on the site.
Media
Website has been featured in the New York Times, Mercury News, Maxim Magazine, seen on CNN television, and featured on NBC's Tech Now as website of the week. It has also been mentioned and featured in countless other local newspapers and magazines across the US and Internationally and hundreds of blogs across the Internet. This is all despite the fact I have never promoted the site or done a single press release.
I frequently receive interview requests and invitations to appear on radio and tv talk shows. So many so that I routinely decline them because I'm just too busy (and I admit, a little media shy at all the attention). Wired Magazine has requested interviews on multiple occasions as well as other tech and/or humor magazines.
Income
Fees from the Imaginary Girlfriend service have been passed on to the girls hired as contractors to provide the service. I do have a business plan to profit from this service and will share with the new owner. I was mainly focused on building the site and getting it established before profit building.
We have made decent $xxxx profit running contextual advertising ads that run at the bottom in a non-prime location. Several hundred dollars have been generated as profit from the live video chat.
Assets
'IMAGINARY GIRLFRIEND' is a registered trademark with the US Trademark Office. No other company can be permitted to use this term for this type of service. Also own many related domains, including imaginarygirlfriends.net, .org, .info, all hyphenated variations, as well as imaginaryboyfriends.com, noviaimaginaria.com (spanish version) and other defensive registrations.
Anyway, I really feel the site and company has excellent potential and I've been holding it back with my limited effort. I wish I had the time to grow it further, but at the present time I do not so my loss is your gain.
Be famous and own a piece of pop culture history!
