If you use PayPal Beware!!

I have had the same paypal business account for 4 years and I went to log in tonight and I got this for no reason. I have not used my account for anything unusual. Any suggestions Please!!!

I use Stormpay- it really works well, no adverts in your face, etc....it's just that a lot of people are reluctant to sign up for another financial transfer account if they already have the Paypal thing going.
I had to switch to StormPay not by choice, but by neccesity because Paypal cancelled my account simply for owning a domain name.
Another good thing about Stormpay: last time I looked, they paid affiliate comissions SIX LEVELS deep- unheard of! (Be sure and PM me for info )
I have heard about few bad expereinces with Strormpay- of course you'll hear bad things about ANY business that is large enough to be a player.

Well, I have never tried Stormpay, but I have tried E-Gold and MoneyBookers. I like them a lot more than PayPal, but most of the people do not use them, so I can not really use them. Maybe we all should start using something else and hope that more people will leave PayPal when we do so :bingo: .

I can't believe they wouldn't give you a second chance or anything. It's not like you did anything really bad. That's stupid how they can hold your money too. Hopefully they will rethink what they do because that scares me a bit.

I have had no problems with Pay Pal at all, other than refunding certain people that try to commit fraud. Yes calling them is the best way.

yeah paypal has screwed me over in the past too. so i doubt what one of you said about 'there are 1000 positive stories for every 1 bad story' is true.

i was thinking... what would happen if u bought something at an adult store with a paypal debit card? isnt that a transaction of adult material?

also, what about domain registration companys who accept paypal? what happens if u buy an adult domain from one and pay with paypal?

Yes, I don't like PayPal but I have to use it as my payment method besides ********. I hate the stupid security checks they do. Recently, they made me update my emails, verify my bank account, and change my password all at the same login.

I am still trying to get this fixed. It will not let me closing my account, it is saying that I can't send or recieve money either. I tried to open another account but I can't use any of my creditcards or bank accounts, when I try to enter my bank info into my new account it is saying that it is registered to another member.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do. Paypal said that they where closing my account but they haven't and I can't do anything with my new account.

Ah I hate paypal, Ive had my account suspended like that before for no reson, and I added the credit card and all and they wanted me to fax them a document which I did something like 3 times and they never recived it, so I lost my account and could not pay for hosting services for that month, I was so angry I called them up and they could not do anything o.0 they didnt even seem to understand what I was on about, and they take like 2 days to reply to support e-mails. anyways its been a while since that and just the other day was the 180 days mark and I was allowed to trasfer the funds that were sitting in there over to my bank account, I think paypal need to change what there doing and review all there policy's cause there helping the scammers & the fruadsters and us legit businessmen get caught out and lose money!

they block your card and your bank account from there site for as long as they exsist! your only hope is to open a new bank account and maybe get a new credit card, they say they close your account but they never do it stays open on there system and is never closed and all your creditcard and other info stays with them. the only problem is I have to use paypal as most people use it and most of these other pay systems take security to far by requiring a photocopy of creditcard etc.. its a pain to do that and no one can realy be bothered photocopying there card and faxing it o.0 at the moment I use moneybookers.com its pretty good and works in most countrys

Paypal is a scammers best friend, Paypal isn't a threat to them they don't really care, Just good if both buyer/seller have a smooth transaction :tu:

Well after a few hours of getting the run around with Paypal I finally got a answer. 2 moths ago a friend of mine had an adult site that he wanted to sell so I sold it for him on Ebay and the buyer paid me through Paypal and they are closing my account for that. I have had this business account for 4 years and I did not know that you could not take payment for an adult sale through Ebay and paypal cause I don't deal with adult sites. I may be wrong but it seems that this should have been handled better by Palpay, for someone that has had a business account for 4 years and made a careless mistake. I guess I learned a quick lesson! Any suggestions???

tell em youve it, tell them they have helped you out and your going to take your business to nochex and say you will contact them in 180 days for your money back.

if they value your business and if you generate them a fair bit of money theyll soon get there finger out there arse.

Hmm...Thats very odd for them to do that to you. You should send them a Email to make sure they got the right guy.

Sending them an e-mail wont do much 90% of the time they will just reply with some automated message. Paypal are allready being sued by a few companys for them taking thousands of dollars and withholding it from the account owners for 180 days as well as them keeping all your creditcard details on your account even after you close it, or get banned from paypal. if you also read there tos they can take money from your account if they need in the future even though its closed.

Well paypal are going to do a lawsuit against me for having a negative balance.

Stupid thing is they let me take money off my card and use it...money that didnt exist so shouldn't it be their fualt for taking non-exist money saying it exists and then later on telling me it didn't work and they have given me a negative balance!!

Paypal has over 71 million members, maybe 5,000 have had bad experiences with them. They are still a great service to use and you should use them on your site and also Liam you sound like you have a case and I wish you the best of luck.

It's funny. You can't have adult transactions via paypal, yet you can sell porn on ebay..Somewhat of a double standard..

Paypal needs some serious competition..
