Hello guys.
This is regarding uWON.com
I have received more than 30 offers for it, the highest was $38K, beside more than 20 price request.
If you own that domain, how much you will ask for?
Kindly advice.
Thanks

I am holding it from 5 years.

I would ask for 5 x an offer at first bat then see where we end up. Are you approaching end users, out of interest?

I'll b happy with 40-45k$ . Not worth much more imo .

Question is, what would you be able to do with that capital once it's in your hands? I would be happy with mid five figures, also.

You asking for an appraisal? If so might be a good idea to post in there.

This is a brandable domain, and it is hard to apply appraisal for it.
Estibot appraisal is $2,100
Sedo suggestion price below $10k

I like the domain name. It is a great brandable for a Poker-esque website.
That being said I would have taken that 38k offer and invested in a good keyword or 3 letter domain.

It's a brandable, you have to take it when you can. If it were liquid fetching more than 30k - 40k then you can sit on it as long as you want.

Six figures, and take high five if that's what you are okay with.

It's a strong casino brandable.

Answer less eMails at a medium pace, and it will come.

Companies have paid more for worse names for sure.

Nice name but I would've taken $38k. Not seeing it going for much higher...

It is impossible to value domains. A domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay you TODAY. Just because they have offered 38K today it doesn't mean it will be worth more in the future.

I think $38k was a fair offer, maybe push that person towards $50k.

$38k is a nice offer, did you push for more or was that their final offer?

Thank you guys, it was final offer, from a broker, he is looking to resell it.

YouWon is for sale for 15k
The buyer faces a big risk if he is to use radio or other advertising if he just owns uWon.com

It is easy for everyone to sit around here and tell you to demand high 5 and 6 figures for it, however, it is not realistic, it is possible but not likely.

Grab the 38k offer with both hands and feet and if you have to use your mouth as well.

OBVIOUSLY prior to that you can also try NJ etc and set a reserve of 38k, you never know.

:$: Hi @jamaltq, congrats in advance! My simple suggestion is;

Accept the US$38,000 offer (if it is still available). What next? Go after the YouWon.com owner and buy it off him at his US$15,000 BIN. Then what? Invest the balance of US$23,000 i.e. US$(38,000 - 15,000) in your account to acquire a reasonable premium domain or two while waiting for the buyer of uWon.com to come calling... again! However, I have a sneaky feeling that the uWon.com buyer's competitor will knock on your door first... radio test in action! Advertise the YouWon.com domain... like mad (as if there'll be no tomorrow) B-) Fare thee well buddy.

Thank you for speaking my mind and saving me much energy. So many domainers are very unrealistic. Ask them (domainers) if they will pay $38k for it and see their reaction. Take the $38k and move on you may likely never get another chance. This 4L and even chips hardly sell for that high rate except it is pronounceable or a name of something/someone with a meaning E.G: Luan.com

I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how this name can be developed. While this is a beautiful example of LLLL.com , the past tense kills the development potential. uWin.com yes, that's a different story but uWon?

Makes little sense that a huge gambling corporation would buy and develop something like uWon unless they're retarded or speak little to no english. Think "uWon Casino" how would you promote that? "You won last month, come back and win again?"

The only thing I can think of re development is a list of previous winners but you don't need to spend $50k or $100k to do that... a page or subdomain within your main brand site should do the job.

I think the $38k offer was more than fair and you should accept it if the broker is still interested to buy. The name itself definitely worth low to mid five figures but I can't see anyone paying high five or six figures for it.

Hope this helps

Maybe one of those people who email all day telling the sheep they won money can buy it.

Dear Sheeple

My name is Mr Inguana Hismazutah and you won $12,556,589.55. We are a serious company, check namebio we paid big money for our domain.

To collect your winnings please send me $2500 so I can buy suitcases to stuff all this cash in and send it to you overnight.

Please do not tell me to simply deduct the $2500 from your winnings as we are an honest company and would never touch your money, what's yours is yours.

For your security we accept bank wire and western union, this way we both know that you are safe.

You can also send $1200 only and then send the rest once you get your money, we trust you as we hope you are as honest as us.

Thank You
Mr Inguana Hismazutah

I would try exactly this for exactly the reasons and strategy cited.

uWon is a great name (for the freemium casino or game credits or whatever approach to generate new or repeat clients) but as many have said, the radio test and confusion leading to traffic bleed to youwon would be a big issue.

Personally, I would sell if you get any offer over $40K (unless from an obvious end-user in which case I would modestly try to increase the final price.)

My $0.02...

its a poker/ casino/ betting related name... check out if this niche is currently in great demand or not.... if there is some real interest it will surely get around 50-60K ... if by chance you get high 5 figure offer....take it without thinking once.. congrats to you :)
