If you backorder a name thru Pool

Does it get auctioned off like Snapnames or do they just try and acquire it for you like godaddy does?

If more than one person has placed a backorder on a domain and Pool get it will they put it up for auction, just like at SnapNames.

Do you know anyone other than Godaddy that will acquire it for you---I was thinking at one time I ran across someone that only charged you if they got it for you---and it was not 60 bucks

enom's club drop will just charge you the $30 if you're the only bidder... but even GoDaddy's "backorder" service now defaults to TDNAM if it's a GoDaddy name (The only real chance of getting a name from the backorder) so if you're the only interested bidder for a week+ of listing, then you'll get it at the backorder price...

Thanks everyone----yea I had just tried Enom service but they said the name I was trying to get was not on their drop list

Somehow I got an EU name through Pool...don't even remember ordering it. But they said 'others" also requested it, and it was up for auction. Apparently no one wanted it because Pool charged me, and said it was mine. Of course, that was a month ago, and I still don't have it or know what the heck's going on with it. No matter, turns out they say it is a typo anyway! LOL. It's a crazy world dealing with domain companies....like a box of outdated chocolates...
