If we could just fire anyone not doing their job at the best level, we'd risk firing most people in most departements in most domain companies Then what? We have to replace these people, what if they are even worse? Creativity is one if not the most abject one in the online world, a good looking logo can take a few minutes to draw, and an horrible one can take a few hours. Getting creativity is sometimes hard, and at SH they probably do it without knowing exactly what the client wants (And is it up to the domainer or just a global line of design decided by SH..) What apect do you like the most in logos, which make them going out of the mass for your brandable names ?
Focus on domain quality. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Knowing this, I wouldn't fire any logo designer. No-one should be fired for producing a logo that I/you don't like.
A non domain firing....... I would fire........Boris Johnson (via carrier Pidgeon) and replace him with a goat.....which would do a better job of being more statesmanlike than him......
I transferred a domain from Alter.com to SH. I am disappointed with SH's logo. I can design my own logo, but I didn't upload when I submitted the domain, I thought I could change it later myself, but there is no option.
