I just installed this ugly thing that passes for a browser and starting checking how some of my sites render in it and I quickly noticed something with an out of the box vanilla install of IE7 - it does not display google adsense ads on any website.

Am I the only one seeing this?

i can see the google ads on this page using the latest version no problem at all (coincidentally I was able to see them in the beta version as well)

Is it possible you have turned off javascript support.

I didn't turn it off - and I looked to confirm. It should have installed using my prior IE6 settings and it appears to have done just so. Reading some googling threads it appears this was a known problem during the beta phase of IE7, but this is not the beta version.

I hope this isn't a common problem because with some 80%+ of the users visiting my sites using IE and starting to upgrade that could kill revenue.

Yes, that would be absurd for google to block it own ad's, talk about shooting yourself in the foot with a bazooka. I'm sure if they are aware of the problem it becomes first priority.

The font it uses is disgusting.

I aclutally like IE7, it looks kind of cool. Also I can see Google ads without problems.

I didn't like it much at first, but I still prefer it to any alternative.

I have fiddled and fooled with it and it does not display google adsense ads. For some reason it is blocking the javascript. We installed it on our work machines and guess what - it did the same thing on one but not the other.

MS bugs - what else is new?

it's because IE7 sees them as ActiveX and it blocks it. But it should pop a yellow bar on top of the page when it does.
