Google custom search (Ads and no-ads)

Hi, i have a simple question... I want to try google's custom search but i have a doubt.

There are two options, with google's ad and without. With googles ad means that i ONLY get money from adsense for search right? Or i also get a % of the ads clicked?

I was told that when you use a Google custom search, you can't include adsense banners because its against adsense TOS, is this right?

If i choose the without ads version, that says to be for non-profit or educational purposes, can for example sell front page links?

No you cannot place the Adsense code yourself on the search result page because the search results page cannot be modified by you except for the logo and colors of background, text etc.

To make money from your Custom Search Engine, you can join Google's AdSense for Search program, which places contextually relevant ads on your Custom Search Engine's search results pages -- and pays you a share of the revenue that's generated from those ads.

Yes you can place AdSense on other pages along with the Custom Search box. Go to the custom search control panel and click on the 'Code' menu to get the code for the search box.

You can also make the search result show in your pages but it will be in frames. In the custom search > control panel > code See under Search box and search results code for your website

You can probably place the AdSense on your page where the search results also appear but I am not sure what is Google's policy on that. Better to confirm from them about it or post the question in an AdSense forum in Google groups.
