Ideas for Marketing Approach to Pixel Websites

Hi !

Is pixel advertising dead? I'm using Gpix from ww.tufat.com - works great and all -but I can't seem to get a single pixel purchase. Any ideas for a good marketing approach to pixel websites? Need your tips.

do something unique to the standard milliondollarhomepage plus give away some for free - this will encourage sales.

Also you need to work out how you're going to get traffic

You need a lot of traffic to your site, your site also needs visibility and you need to offer something extra to your clients to attract people as there are a lot of other pixel advertisement sites out there and most of them are unsuccessful.

Throw some free pixels around and get interested parties to write up your pixel service [hint: give those people the free pixels]. Then pour as much traffic in as is possible by mortal standards, and hope for the best.

Uhh I think I'm off my rocker. Who said there were other successfull pixelsites? Some have achieved some sales, but I don't think anyone who has posted in this thread has claimed that the mdp's success can be replicated without some original thinking.
