Idea: subdomains

Here's an idea I'm trying to figure out. What would be required to set up a way for people to sign up for subdomains under your domain with some sort of payment system or popups. i.e. go to xyz.com. Sign up for calian.xyz.com. Paypal $1 for a year. Account is activated. Have access to DNS to point calian.xyz.com to 192.168.0.200 or simply load geocities.com/example in a frame.

Alternate revenue model is have popups / ad frame to free subdomains. Any ideas on the simplest way to get something like this off the ground?

I can do email but at this moment I do not have that option enabled. I have to work something out with my host in order to get that option up and running.

do a search on hotscripts. you could use a free hosting script to do this.
