There have been many posts pro and con about registrars.

The ONE BAD I have encountered and STILL have +- 60 names registered with is OMNIS

I am gradually (as I have the money) moving those names over to GoDaddy.

I have had numerous conversations with Omnis about their policy of charging a potential customer (of your name that you want to sell). They have never given me an answer as to HOW MUCH that charge is.

In addition - in order to make a change of ownership transfer within their site, they want my life history in writing and a notarized statement of a 'picture' id (is one I recall) All either faxed or snailmailed to them before they will even consider a transfer.

I have gone round and round with them - pointing out that the only thing they wanted from me when I purchased names through them was my credit card number.

I am REALLY ticked off about this and I also know that they are (or have been) advertising on this site and are probably right at this moment reading this post.

HEY - if you see this - please give me some answers.

I am also aware that OMNI charges a fee for change of registrant. I tried to buy a domain name that was registered there once and also had to go through nonsense. GoDaddy is a great choice as a registrar but with a 60 domain portfolio, you would find a little bit more savings as reseller status at many other places. Any registrar that charges a fee for change of registrant is frowned upon amongst domain traders but if you are happy with them other then that, when you sell a domain just have the buyer intitiate a transfer to their registrar of choice. Theres no point in you sacrificing the home of your domains just to make somebody else happy. If they want the domain that bad, they will not have a problem doing so. Just my opinion. Good Luck
