I want to start designing graphics business

Hi all,
I want to start my own designing graphics business, where I can help people make graphics such as, logos, banners, themes, backgrounds etc.. for a small amount.

Is there a market for this? will it be hard?

I currently don't have a portfolio, but I was thinking of starting one and then creating a website for it so people can see.

Anyone know where I can start?

When it comes to programs like photoshop, im actually quite experienced with it.

Its best to start with offering your services on forums. Get good exposure and experience, develop your portfolio and then move to your own site. This way you will already have quite many followers and customers. Otherwise getting customers on a brand new site will be very very hard. Btw i have a few good domains for this biz. Let me know if you are interested.

First you must read tutorials to make your skills better.
psdtuts.com , or even youtube tutorial videos about web/graphic designs.

Second, to make a portfolio. make your price lower first.
and give your best shot!

I am currently starting a website design company i have a small portfolio one active Runninghorse.net and others that ppl have let go or just stopped paying for but i have a few templates so ppl can see wat i can offer. I think if we work together it could be good since u want your graphics displayed and i need good graphics from scratch i can do buttons nav bars etc Thanks look forward to hearing from you!
