I want to learn webdevelopment.

Hello All, I am interested in learning webdevelopment.I am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.I was looking in the local community college catalog and they offer a course called DreamWeaver,is this a good course?Should I go that route or is there a better way? Would it be better taking a live class,onlineclass,or just some software?

My local college offers a 4 hour class on dreamweaver for $127 and I would appreciate any info also.

Is a 4 hour class worth that much?
Is dreamweaver a good simple easy way to build some minisites for ppc?
Is dreamweaver hard to learn?
Do you have to use code to build dreamweaver sites?
Can a dummy like me actually learn dreamweaver in 4 hours?

I think I already know the answer to that last question but what I really mean is can an average dummy learn enough in a 4 hour course to know how to continue learning after the course is over? Thanks for your help...

Reading online helps a lot. Messing up with softwares helps a lot.

I have never attended any school or classes but would just install the software tools and play with it for hours and hours.

Just out of curiousity is it a literal 4 hour class or 4 college credit hours? More than likely if its literally a 4 hour class it will show you some basics and "cool tricks/tips." To be honest there are tutorials online that can teach you everything you need to know for free.

If you feel more comfortable learning in a classroom setting with more structure to it go for it. A summer course might show you enough to get you up to speed with basics to intermediate level design. I would recommed doing lots of alone/out of classroom work. This will just make you more comfortable when you are by yourself without a teacher there holding your hand.

I personally learned some new things when I took design courses but I usually prefer just to do everything myself. Hope the rambling helps.
